Montego Bay

Album: Montego Bay
Artist: Queen Ifrica
Label: VP Records
Genre: Conscious Reggae

As a big fan of conscious reggae I am glad Queen Ifrica has dropped a wholesome album called “Montego Bay” that contains fire tracks like “Calling Africa” and “Jus My Brethen.”

The CD’s first single called “Lioness On The Rise” is a true fire tune and it is getting a lot of play on various radio stations around the world.  The other track on this CD that is getting a lot of worldwide attention is a tune called “Daddy” which is based on a tale of child molestation.  “Far Away” is another good hit from this lovely singer and this romantic track is making many moves in the reggae industry.

A very versatile artist, Ifrica changes up her style on many tracks like “Coconut Shell”, “Yad The East”, and the “Streets Are Bloody.” “Streets are Bloody” is a personal favorite of mine that is produced by the legendary Tony Rebel and contains a very good riddim. “Montego Bay” is worth buying and it is a wonderful reggae masterpiece from this very talented singer.

Rating: CRUNK
