Nate Walker exudes the confidence of a seasoned performer. His music is a unique blend of hip-hop, rock and electro-soul. At twenty-three, Nate Walker has achieved what some musical veterans are still dreaming about.
A native of Memphis, Tennessee, you can blame Nate Walker's Grammy winning success on pure talent combined with instinct. Nate was working in a clothing store when he received a call from producer David Ballard to check out the musical vibes in the mecca of hip-hop and entertainment, Atlanta.
When you have something in your heart and soul you find a way to make it happen. Nate was prepared to do whatever he had to do to make it in the music industry, including sleeping on the floor and selling CDs on the street.
Nate was no stranger to facing and overcoming challenges. He made no excuses when it came to hard work. He moved around a lot when he was a kid, picking up different musical influences along the way. He credits groups like Coldplay and The Killers as musical influences.
He is inspired by Kanye West's artistic creativeness. Nominated for an outstanding six Grammys, Nate copped his first award for writing the hit single "Blame It”, sung by Jamie Foxx. He is also responsible for penning the number one chart topper (I'm not sure if he wrote the hook only on this) "Say Ahh" by Trey Songz, which has quickly become the modern day birthday song.
All the signs are pointing in the direction leading to a bright horizon for this talented singer and songwriter. He is currently working on projects with Ne-Yo, Akon, Britney Spears and Travis Barker, and this is just the beginning!
There are times when you have to forsake everything to go after your dreams. Focus is the key; Have fun and be yourself. The best is surely yet to come for this young, hot and innovative new star.
